Jaw Resort is a great reminder that Bahrain extends well beyond Manama’s skyline. Down on the quieter southeastern coast, the resort faces a 200-metre sandy beach and revolves around spacious villas rather than conventional hotel rooms. The choice is excellent for families: one-, two- and three-bedroom categories come with temperature-controlled private pools, including water villas and beachfront options. There’s also a kids’ pool, spa with sauna and steam room, fitness centre and seafront dining at Al Bareh. The Tree of Life is nearby, but after settling into a beachfront villa and pool, sightseeing may suddenly slip down the priority list.
