Thalassa has a lovely relaxed feel that suits Kefalonia perfectly. Hidden above Paliostafida Bay in Lassi, it’s close to Makris Gialos Beach and only a short drive from Argostoli, yet the gardens and sea views make it feel nicely removed from everything. There are two freshwater pools, Eolia Pool Restaurant and plenty of corners made for couples doing very little. The new swim-up rooms are particularly attractive, opening straight onto a secluded garden pool – but an important detail is that the pool is shared between four rooms rather than completely private. Still, coffee-to-pool in three steps is a lifestyle we could adapt to.
