Casa Cook Samos nails that effortlessly cool Greek-island look: stone walls, linen, earthy tones and pools weaving between low-slung buildings like a modern little village. The private beach is right outside, Pythagorion is a short drive away and there are six shared pools if you feel like being sociable. We’d be less sociable and book either a Suite with private pool or The Villa, which adds a secluded garden, firepit and open-air rain shower. The Beach House handles long Mediterranean lunches, while yoga, Pilates and spa treatments cover the virtuous part of the holiday. Barefoot until dinner? Absolutely.
