Katharos Villas offers a clever escape: six detached Cycladic villas set just outside the centre, each with its own heated private swimming pool, veranda and fully equipped kitchen. You can walk into Oia when you want restaurants, shops and blue domes, then retreat home when the lanes become crowded. We’d stock up on local tomatoes, cheese and Assyrtiko and turn that terrace into our own sunset restaurant. Sometimes the best table in Santorini is the one you don’t have to reserve.
