Petra Nera is a smart choice when you want a private pool without isolating yourself in a villa miles from everything. Set in Agia Paraskevi, it’s around 500 metres from the beach and has a main pool, restaurant and poolside bar back at the hotel. The Executive Rooms and larger Queen Suites come with private pools, while other categories offer private Jacuzzis – handy if you’re travelling as a couple but equally useful for a small family wanting more space. Skiathos Town is about 9 km away. We’d rent a car here: beach-hop all day, dinner in town, then one final swim back at your own pool.
