Syros sometimes gets overlooked in favour of its flashier Cycladic neighbours, which is part of what makes Aegean Paradiso so appealing. This adults-only hideaway sits just 70 metres from Azolimnos Beach, with a relaxed boho feel, a sea-view pool and a restaurant for those evenings when venturing out feels like unnecessary effort. The Deluxe Garden Suite and Executive Sea View Suite both come with private pools – we’d be very tempted by the latter for that combination of sea view and your own water. Ermoupoli is close enough for a dose of neoclassical streets and proper Greek island life when pool lounging finally loses the battle.
