Anat Tantric feels like a little secret hidden in the greenery outside central Tulum. The suites are surprisingly spacious – around 70 m² – with Moroccan-inspired touches, big terraces and, best of all, their own private pools. There’s also a spa, sauna and restaurant, but we think the appeal is really the privacy: this isn’t the kind of place where you need to fight for a sunbed before breakfast. Tulum town, cenotes and the beach zone are there when adventure calls; otherwise, closing the door and disappearing into your own tropical bubble sounds pretty good to us.
