Mont Rochelle, part of Virgin Limited Edition, sits among the vines above Franschhoek with 26 rooms, a winery, spa, heated pool and two excellent places to eat – MIKO and The Country Kitchen. We’d splurge on one of the two Cap Classique Vineyard Pool Suites, where a private terrace comes with its own plunge pool overlooking the Winelands. Tastings, vineyard picnics and complimentary shuttles into Franschhoek make exploring effortless. The difficult part will be convincing ourselves to leave the estate in the first place.
