For couples who want a little more privacy, the pool villas at Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway are seriously tempting. Detached from the main building, they give you around 123 m² of space with a garden terrace, whirlpool bath and your own private plunge pool. The contemporary Thai design feels warm rather than generic, and having a secluded garden around the pool makes it easy to forget the rest of the resort exists. We’d happily make this our base for a few wonderfully lazy Koh Chang days.
