We’ve come across plenty of large family resorts in Greece, but few manage to combine old-school Cretan character and modern family fun quite like this. Aquila Rithymna Beach stretches along a 500-metre Blue Flag beach just outside Rethymno, with a waterpark, excellent kids’ club, substantial spa and nine restaurants and bars.
