Arina Beach is the one we’d bookmark for a family trip to Crete. It sprawls right along a Blue Flag sandy beach in Kokkini Hani and packs in four main pools, children’s pools, kids’ club and a waterpark with four slides – all wrapped into an easy all-inclusive concept. Yet there’s a surprisingly private side too. The seafront bungalows have individual private pools almost at the water’s edge, while larger family maisonettes offer their own pools as well. Add several restaurants, an adults’ relaxation pool and plenty of activities and you’ve solved the classic problem: kids want action, parents want horizontal. Everyone gets their wish.
