The food alone would make us curious about Paralos Kosta Alímia. Instead of the usual all-inclusive buffet routine, this beachfront resort in Anissaras has five themed à la carte restaurants covering Greek grill, taverna classics, seafood, Mediterranean dishes and steak. Then there are 13 pools. Seven rooms and suites have genuine private pools, while 24 others open onto shared swim-up lagoons – an important distinction when choosing your room. Add a wide beach, spa, indoor heated pool, beach yoga and two seafront main pools and you have a resort where staying put suddenly seems far more appealing than sightseeing.
