Possibly one the most beautiful design hotels we've stayed at. Set in a beautiful location near Kolymbithres beach, the Parilio hotel is a true hidden gem on Paros. The incredibly stylish Sun Suite was outstanding and featured a luxurious private pool on an intimate terrace. The hotel grounds were also magnificent, the food and drinks were absolutely first class and the staff was amazing and attentive. They would even leave little treats in your room to greet you after some time away. We absolutely would come back and wished we could have stayed longer. Just don't plan on exploring Paros because you won't want to leave the hotel...

The name really does fit. Calme sits above Golden Beach on the quieter south-eastern side of Paros, surrounded by that dry, sun-bleached Cycladic landscape and looking across the Aegean towards a whole scattering of islands. The hotel is adults-only and wonderfully intimate, with several suite categories offering their own terraces and private pools. We’d choose one of the sea-view suites, disappear behind the sun loungers for the afternoon and save the famous Paros beach-hopping for another day. Golden Beach is only around 700 metres away if guilt eventually gets the better of you.

Set near Agia Eirini on the quieter south-western side of Paros, it’s only a couple of minutes from the Antiparos ferry and around seven minutes from Parikia. Several of the larger residences, including the Prestige and Family Suites, have private plunge pools, kitchens and outdoor dining areas with views towards Antiparos. The concierge can arrange boat trips, diving and even cooking classes. We’d rent a car, bounce between Paros and Antiparos by day, then come back here when we’ve had enough of being sociable.
