Proteas Blu occupies a beautiful corner of Samos, tumbling down towards two secluded beaches near Pythagorion. It’s adults-only for guests aged 16+, and there’s a wonderfully old-school Greek resort feel to the place – whitewashed buildings, blue water and plenty of space between everything. For us, the BLU Suite is the one to book: 90 m², sea views, a garden and its own private swimming pool. Four restaurants, three bars, a waterfront pool complex and the Adam & Eve Spa mean there’s little reason to rush anywhere. A beach dinner for two sounds like a particularly good way to end the day.
